A Quick Start Guide for Retailers

When you are ready to start accepting OTC and Healthy Benefit cards, setting up the ProHealth ePay App is a straightforward process. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to download, connect, and launch the app effectively.

Phase 1: Downloading and Installing the App

1. Confirm Your Device and Connection

The ProHealth Go™ app (which is listed in app stores as the ProHealth ePay Terminal) is fully available for both Android and iOS devices. Before beginning, ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. This is critical for both the installation process and subsequent use.

Tip: Connect to Wi-Fi before you open the app to avoid connectivity errors or login interruptions.

2. Download the App

Once your device is connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network, visit your respective app store:

  1. Search for “ProHealth ePay Terminal“.
  2. Tap Install when prompted.
  3. When installation completes, select Open to launch the app.

After the installation is complete, the ProHealth Connect icon should appear on your home screen. You can tap this icon to launch the app at any time.

3. Open and Connect

When you open the ProHealth ePay App for the first time, you must take two specific actions:

  1. Confirm that your Wi-Fi is still active.
  2. Allow any device prompts requesting network access.

If the device loses connection during use, you may need to re-authenticate or log in again once Wi-Fi is restored.

Troubleshooting: If the app doesn’t open or shows an error, verify your Wi-Fi signal or restart the device before attempting to reinstall the application.

Phase 2: Logging In and Verifying Terminal Status

Once installed, your ProHealth ePay App is ready for login. Use this guide to complete your first-time sign-in and confirm your device/terminal is ready for business.

1. Log in to ProHealth ePay

  1. Ensure you are connected to stable Wi-Fi before entering credentials to avoid connectivity or session errors.
  2. Open the app from your home screen (look for the ProHealth Connect logo).
  3. Enter your PHC-issued username & password as provided in your onboarding email. It is highly recommended that you save this login to your local password manager or keychain.
  4. If you see a network prompt, allow access so the app can reach PHC services.

Note: If your device drops Wi-Fi during sign-in or use, the app may prompt you to re-authenticate after reconnection.

2. Device Readiness Check

Please complete these checks before attempting your first transaction:

3. Common Issues & Fast Fixes

App won’t open or spins at launch: Toggle your Wi-Fi off and on, then relaunch. If needed, restart the device completely and reopen the app.

“Session expired” or repeated login prompts: Reconnect to a stable network and sign in again (a prior connection drop likely occurred).

You Are Ready!

Once you have logged in and verified readiness, you are officially ready to begin accepting OTC and Healthy Benefit transactions with the ProHealth ePay terminal.
