The I9 Card Reader allows retailers to accept card payments directly through the PHC Go™ app. This guide walks you through setting up the device and connecting it to your mobile device.
What’s Included
When you open your I9 Card Reader package, you should have:
- I9 Card Reader
- USB charging cable
- User guide
Before You Begin
Make sure:
- Your mobile device has Bluetooth enabled
- The PHC Go™ app is installed and updated
- The I9 reader is fully charged
Step 1: Power On the Device
- Press and hold the power button on the I9 Card Reader.
- Observe the four indicator lights:
- Red and Green: Indicate the device’s power and charging status.
- Blue: Indicates Bluetooth functionality; flashes when ready to pair.
- Yellow: Indicates transaction statuses.
Step 2: Enable Bluetooth on Your Device
- Open your phone or tablet settings.
- Turn on Bluetooth.
Step 3: Connect to your PHC Go™ app
- Open the PHC Go™ app.
- Navigate to: Menu → Settings → Device Management.
- Select Add Device.
- Choose the I9 Card Reader from the list.
Step 4: Confirm Connection
- Once connected, the blue indicator light will turn solid.
- This means the device is successfully paired and ready to use.
Troubleshooting
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
- Ensure the reader is powered on and charged.
- Restart the PHC Go™ app and try again.
